EPL: Teddy Sheringham tells Carrick who to start Man United vs Arsenal game

Must read

Former Manchester United striker, Teddy Sheringham, has told the club’s interim manager, Michael Carrick, to start Cristiano Ronaldo in tonight’s Premier League tie against Arsenal.

Sheringham also wants Carrick to feature his best players against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

DAILY POST reports that Ronaldo started on the bench in Man United’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea last weekend.

Asked if Ronaldo should start for Man United against Arsenal, Sheringham told the Mirror, “Yes, [Ronaldo should start Man United vs Arsenal game] without a doubt.

“I have to agree with Roy Keane in what he said the other night in that if you have got someone of Ronaldo’s ability, he’s come back to Manchester United to play in these big games, that’s what big players do, they perform at the top level in the big games.”

“Chelsea the other night, he should have been playing,” he added.

“Arsenal, again, is a big game. They are encroaching on the top four at the moment. It’s always a big game against Arsenal for Manchester United. You need your best players out there and he’s without a doubt one of their best players.”
