Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has said he would play Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani together against teams that drop deep.
The experienced duo have not played alongside each other this season.
Cavani has been unavailable for selection in recent weeks due to a lack of fitness.
However, he is now fit and will be included in the squad to face Aston Villa on Saturday.
Solskjaer has however indicated that he will use the pair together during stages of the 2021/2022 campaign.
“It’s exciting and exciting to see those two together. I’m sure that it will be a good partnership as well. We see teams dropping deep against us, not giving space in behind and they are two boys you’d like to see in that scenario, I can see those two working well together,” Solskjaer told reporters.
