Burna Boy becomes first African artiste to win three consecutive BET Awards

Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, has won the 2021 Best International Act at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.

The 21st annual BET Award took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ‘Twice as Tall’ singer beats fellow Nigerian, Wizkid and Tanzanian, Diamond Platinumz, to clinch the award.

With his new feat, the Grammy Award winner has become the first African Artiste to clinch three consecutive BET Awards.

Recall that he won the Best International Award (Global) in 2019, 2020 and, just yesterday, he was announced winner of the award category for 2021.

The BET Awards is an American award show that was established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.
