The Chairman, Kwara Beach Soccer Association, Alhaji Abdulateef Adedeji, says with the unveiling of 2021/2022 programmes of African Beach Soccer Union (ABSU), the association will partner the union on women’s beach soccer development programme.
Adedeji told newsmen on Monday in Ilorin that the partnership would help to develop the game in Kwara.
According to the chairman, it is pertinent for Kwara Beach Soccer Association to tap into the ABSU women development programmes.
He said that the partnership would be geared toward improving the game and sustaining its awareness in the state.
Adedeji said that the Kwara Beach Soccer Association would inaugurate its female team and stage a mini female beach soccer tournament as well as organise an awards night at date to be announced.
Meanwhile a five-man organising and planning committee has been appointed for the programme.
They are Mrs Abimbola Olaoye, Mrs Hafsat Yusuf, Mr Rasheed Ola Saraki, Oba Suleiman and Mr Ayodeji Ismail. (NAN)
