Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, is now free to negotiate terms with any clubs, as his current contract expires on June 30.
With less than six months left on his existing deal, Messi’s future remains uncertain.
Manchester City, Inter and Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be among the clubs looking to sign the 33-year-old.
Although Messi has been associated with Barcelona since he joined them in 2001 as a youth, his future hangs in the balance after he came close to leaving in the summer of 2020.
He tried to force his way out of the Camp Nou, but eventually made a u-turn, unwilling to start a lawsuit with Barcelona.
However, with his deal expiring in June, the Argentina superstar may find himself playing for another club for the first time come August.
The Blaugrana are currently sixth in La Liga, 10 points back from leaders Atletico Madrid having played a game more.
