Akeredolu inspects ongoing renovation at Ondo Assembly House

Must read

The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Tuesday paid an unscheduled visit to the Ondo State House of Assembly complex to inspect the ongoing renovation work at the premises.

The leadership of the State Legislature led by the Speaker, Rt Hon Bamidele David Oleyelogun, the new Majority Leader Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi and the Clerk of the House Mr Bode Adeyelu were on ground to welcome the Governor.

Governor Akeredolu was conducted round various sections of the assembly complex where renovation works of different magnitude were ongoing.

Speaking with reporters, the Speaker said the visit of the governor underscores his concern for the State Legislators and staff of the Assembly in their workplace environment.

He used the occasion to hint that the Governor has been advised to transmit the 2021 Appropriation Bill to the house for consideration instead of the ceremonial presentation in view of the fact that the current temporary chamber of the house may not be spacious enough to host the Governor and his entourage during the Budget Presentation.

The Speaker appealed to the people of the state to continue to support the Arakunrin Akeredolu administration just as he promised a better working relationship with the executive arm of government for the good of the people of the state in the coming year.
