The number of COVID-19 fatalities in Ogun State has increased to 23 as 1 other death was recorded on Thursday.
The state government, while announcing the death, confirmed 24 more cases of Coronavirus, adding that five patients, who have recovered from the virus, were discharged.
With the new development, the state now has 1,227 confirmed cases, 922 of whom have been discharged while 282 cases are still active.
“As at 23rd July, 2020, Ogun State was managing 282 active COVID-19 cases, as it recorded 24 new cases, bringing to 1227, the total number of confirmed cases in the State since the index case was reported in February.
“On the same day, 5 cases who had recovered from the virus were discharged, making it 922, the total number of discharged cases, even as the State has recorded 23 related deaths,” it was revealed.
