The Edo State Residential Electoral Commissioner, Dr Johnson Alalibo Samikiem has advised the Edo people to desist from electoral violence in the September gubernatorial election.
The REC gave the advice on Thursday after a closed door strategic security meeting held in Benin City the state capital.
According to him, “Election is not a do or die exercise”, adding that Edo people should come and vote for their choices.
“They should remember that there is life after election, so as a Commission we expect the voter to comport themselves in a manner that speaks positively,” he added.
