President Muhammadu Buhari on Tueaday suspended the Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.
Meanwhile an investigative panel is still making efforts to investigate 22 allegations against the suspended EFCC boss.
Reliable sources told our correspondent that Magu has been asked to step aside so as not to obstruct investigation.
The source added that a formal statement will be issued shortly on the development.
