A journalist, Mr. Theophilus Onojeghen, has tested positive for coronavirus in Warri, Delta state.
Onojeghen, whose samples were taken at the treatment centre located in Central Hospital, Warri days ago, got his test result on Friday.
He had contact with two patients, who are already receiving treatments, about three weeks ago.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had announced that 106 persons newly tested positive for the virus in Delta.
This brought the tally of confirmed cases in the state to 715, according to the NCDC.
Onojeghen is Managing Editor of Niger Delta Today online.
In a statement by the medium, persons who may have had contact with him recently, were urged to “duly self-isolate” for the next two weeks.
It further called on the public to observe laid down precautions against contracting and spreading the disease.
