The management of Benue State University Makurdi, BSUM has directed all workers in the institution to resume office June 8.
The directive was contained in a circular signed and pasted at the school premises by the school Registrar, Mrs Mfaga Modom.
According to the circular, the directive was in line with the state government’s reviewed COVID-19 measures which had directed workers in grade level 1 to 12 to resume office June 8 after compulsory holidays occasioned by the novel coronavirus pandemic.
AFRIPOST reports that the state government on Tuesday reviewed its COVID-19 measures allowing some economic activities to operate within the state while the fight against the global pandemic continues.
The management enjoined all resuming workers to strictly adhere to all laid down COVID-19 guidelines as advised by health experts and the World Health Organisation, WHO.
It urged workers to maintain compulsory wearing of face mask, frequent washing of hands with the use of alchoholic based sanitizer and social distancing.
It however, stated that resumption of academic activities in the school would be communicated to students in subsequent time.
