Katsina State Government has confirmed the death of 13 coronavirus patients at the state isolation centre.
The government also announced the discharge of 51 patients who tested negative twice for the virus.
Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Dr Kabiru Mustapha, stated this while addressing newsmen with members of the COVID-19 response team.
He explained that 285 positive cases have been recorded by the state as at May 21
According to him: “As it is, the COVID 19 Committee hold their meetings through the zones and there is no point to connect everybody at the moment. We really are at very serious position, there are alot of cases now to handle.
”When we started it was easy to meet and discuss but now its just like wild fire.so it’s fire on the mountain’.
”I am just coming from the IDP Centre. If you go there you see people being trained on how to manage the facilities. We are doing training for the handlers, ward attendence and other personnel.”
