Must read

Nasarawa has recorded three new COVID-19 cases out of the over 50 samples sent to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) in Abuja.

Commissioner for Health, Ahmed Baba Yahaya also said in Lafia that four patients have been treated and discharged.

He explained the four patients who recovered were part of the initial 25 cases before the state recorded three new cases.

The commissioner said out of the three new cases, two are from Karu while one is from Akwanga local government areas of the state.

Speaking on a member of House of Assembly Hon Isa Mohammed Bello representing Panda/Gitata state constituency in Karu LG alleged to have been in isolation over suspected coronavirus syptoms, the commissioner said only the Governor has the right to mention the name of an infected person to avoid stigma.

Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Dogo Shammah, said the three-day total lockdown in Nasarawa Local Government Area had been relaxed while shops are to open between 10am-3pm.

The Commissioner explained the relaxation followed the successful contacts tracing of those who had contact with the deceased Assembly member from the area, late Sulieman Adamu.
