Must read

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has lifted the social gathering order which led to the partial closure of mosques and churches in the state.

In a statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr Kingsley Fanwo, Bello said religious bodies have been allowed to resume their normal worship.

He therefore charged all religious leaders in the state to ensure that preventive and precautionary measures are put in place in various worship centres, adding that no church or mosque should be allowed to open without hand sanitisers at the entrance.

” Sitting arrangements in mosques and churches should be done to ensure social distancing.

” We also urge churches and mosques to make their services as brief as possible in order not to keep a large crowd of worshipers within an enclosed confinement,” the governor said

He appealed to worshippers to use the opportunity to pray against the Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the country and the world.
