A military man identified as Ada-Val Areyenka has shot one Mr Joseph Pessu to death for defying restriction, ordered by the state government.
The incident happened early hours of Thursday at a Junction in Ugbuwangue community, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Details as to why the victim was shot dead remained sketchy at the time of this report.
However, a source disclosed to our reporter that the deceased was stopped at a checkpoint by a soldier but refused and made an attempt to run away.
He was chased by the soldiers who shot him dead in the processes.
At the time of filing this report,the remains of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue.
When contacted for comments, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa in a telephone chat with confirmed the report to be true, saying, “I’m yet to get the full details.”
