A woman whose name is yet to be revealed, has died in Ado Ekity, the Ekity state Capital after she allegedly had series of sex with her lover who was identified as a police officer from Lagos state.
The incident occurred in the room of the deceased located at Atayese Street, Bawa Estate, Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday night.
The man, who has been arrested by the police, it was gathered, came from Lagos where he works as policeman to visit the lady in Ekiti.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, Mr. Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident, said the case was reported by one of the deceased neighbours at the Oke Ila Divisional Police station in the state capital, prompting his men to take necessary action.
“The lady died inside her room and one of her neighbours reported the incident at our office at Oke Ila in Ado Ekiti.
“Our detectives immediately visited the house and saw the lifeless body of the lady. The corpse had been evacuated and taken to the morgue of the Ekiti state university teaching hospital”, he stated.
Abutu added that the suspects has been arrested and presently being detained in the police custody.
He, however, clarified that the identity of the man and his profession is still sketchy and yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
“We are yet to know whether he is a policeman or not. Let us wait for the outcome of our investigation, it will revealed all that”, Abutu said.
