The deputy speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, Christopher Adaji has been declared the winner of last Saturday supplementary election.
Appeal Court had in November 8th 2019, through the judgment read by Justice I.G. Mbaba ordered that a fresh election be held in two polling units; Agadagba and Onyagede–Icho in Ohimini State constituency.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had on Saturday conducted the supplementary election in the affected polling units.
Announcing the results, the collation officer, Professor Nicodemus Abulu declared that Christopher Adaji of the Peoples Democratic Party polled 6,742 votes to defeat his closest rival in All Progressive Congress, Musa Aleichenu, who got 6,341 votes.
