Expert blames youth unemployment on lack of information, inability to develop special skills

In a bid to compliment the present administration’s commitment to reducing unemployment in the country, Shalom, a Recruitment Services organization (SRS) , has been unveiled to build careers.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SRS, Ahmed Amoto, while addressing Journalists in Abuja yesterday, thursday , 23 January ,2020, said, “many people are unemployed because they lack access to information about available job opportunities hence most job seekers do not even know what they want or where they could appropriately fit in, many school leavers are unemployable, not because they are not vast in their chosen fields, but simply because of their inability to develop skills after graduation, ” he noted.

Stressing that some applicants would drop off CVs in companies or government institutions left, right and centre without proper guidance, adding that this scenario brought about the establishment of the recruitment agency. Amoto further noted that SRS is a leading recruitment agency that is poised to redefine excellence in the manner professional Human Resource (HR) services are provided to different companies in Nigeria.

Further stated that SRS would works extensively with different companies and organisations in the following sectors: Finance, Oil and Gas, Maritime, ICT, NGO, Real Estate, Entertainment, Manufacturing, Education, Tourism and the likes in pursuing its set objectives.

“This gives us an excellent understanding of their systems, culture and specific requirements that allow us to source the most skilled, qualified and suitable staff available that match both the needs of our clients and the candidates,” Amoto said

Revealed that clients background checks on prospective employees would be paramount given the glaring reality of rampant cases of kidnapping, murdering and even stealing from their bosses.
