The election petition tribunal sitting in Makurdi, the Benue State capital has upheld the candidate of People Democratic Party (PDP), Abba Moro’s victory in the last senatorial election in Benue South.
Afripost News recalls that a former deputy governor of the State and candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), Steve Lawani was challenging Senator Moro’s victory before the election tribunal.
The court threw out Lawani’s prayer for a rerun for lack of substantial proofs on Wednesday.
