A former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Olusegun Olulade, has urged the newly- inaugurated ministers and commissioners in Lagos State to immediately get to work and deliver on the promises made during the electioneering.
Olulade, who represented Epe Constituency II between 2011 and 2019, gave the charge in a statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday.
“Lagosians in particular and Nigerians in general have been looking up to your inauguration as ministers, commissioners and special advisers.
“Now that portfolios have been assigned, it is time to get straight to work so they can deliver on the promises the ruling party made during the 2019 campaign,” he said.
Olulade advised the ministers to carry out the policies of the government that would eradicate poverty and reduce the rate of unemployment in the country.
The lawmaker admonished Nigerians to give their full support to the newly constituted cabinet by the President in order to achieve the desired greatness in the country.
“I am using this medium to congratulate all our brand new ministers, commissioners and special advisers in Lagos State,’ He said.
“It is important for the citizens as well to play their expected roles and responsibilities by cooperating with the government at all levels and paying our taxes.
“It is through that the government can respond to all our needs and yearnings,” he noted.
Olulade also commended President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for job well done, adding that both of them had painstakingly taken their times to shop for the best hands.
He said the appointees would complement their efforts, saying that he was optimistic that by 2023, Nigerians would be glad they voted for the ruling party.
