Ahead of flag off of his campaign organization on November 18, 2018, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential aspirant, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has included in his campaign structure involvement of the physically challenged persons, tagged “Atiku Vision 4Disabilities”.
This is another medium to have an all-inclusive government come 2019.
The National Coordinator of the body, Mrs. Timi Ziriki in an interview with The Voice Of Reality, said “I am wholeheartedly happy for this impressive development. For any government to thrive, it must be all inclusive. The pain of the masses should be the pain of the government. Disability is a condition and for the former Vice President to identify with the ability in them is, indeed, an act of wisdom.
Afri Post recalls that in 2014/2015, former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan saw the need for an all-inclusive government, hence got the disabled involved in his campaign and promised their inclusion in his government afterwards but unfortunately, we are where we are today.
“I appreciate his Excellency Abubakar for putting up a plan for these set of people. I call him a man who sees the ‘ability in disabilities’, she added.
“A government that is sensible enough to integrate the disabled into the integral part of her system will never leave any segment/section underrepresented.
“At this stage it is safe to rely on the vision of Abubakar to rescue our nation from the shackles of perceived cabals, rejuvenate the country and hand it over to the able youths, whom President Mohammadu Buhari has tagged “Lazy”.
