Sunderland University and UK based Nigerian Students Society including Nigerian community in the United Kingdom have recently honoured the Chairman of Stanel Group, Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu in recognition of his contributions to Nigeria Economy and humanitarian impacts on less privileged Nigerians.
The Stanel Boss who was invited by the University authority as a guest speaker on the occasion of Nigeria’s 58th Independence Anniversary in the school delivered a lecture on “Nigerian Youth Population: A Catalyst For Recalibrating Nigeria’s Debt Profile And Economy”.
In his address, Dr. Uzochukwu stressed that most advanced economy today are strategically built on entrepreneurship, hence, he enjoins Nigerian youths to embrace innovation and creativity and stop being overdependent on government. According to him, “every youth is the future; every youth is a catalyst in the recalibration of Nigeria’s debt profile and economy”.
The Philanthropist reveals that, “Two years ago, Stanel Group began investing tens of millions of Naira in engaging youth ambassadors. We carefully selected several creative entertainers from across various parts of the country to represent our brands for reasonable handsome fees”.
Presenting the corporate Jersey and the Award for Charity and Impacts on Nigerian youths to Uzochukwu, the University authority and Nigerian Student Society said the honour was in recognition of his impact on Nigerian youths and economy while urging him to mentor Nigerian youths on the path of entrepreneurship as it is the only sure way of growing a nation’s economy.
