The state commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Niger State, Philip Ayuba has approved the deployments of 1500 of it’s officer and men to ensure security during the Easter celebrations.
According to him, the deployments will be done to all strategic place such as motor parks, eateries, churches and recreational centers in the state and it’s environs, to ensure security.
The state commandant have directed all the area commanders in the state to fully take charge of their jurisdiction, also all the unit heads have been urge to take charge of all the deployments.
The deployments which is to commence yesterday and to be stand dawn by the state commandant on 3rd of April 2018 depending on the threat analysis.
He stated that the undercover officers have already been deployed to all the black spots in the state so as to feed the state command and control room for prompt response.
The state commandant therefore warned all miscreants to stay clear from the state and it’s environs because all the divisions have been fully fortified with personnel.
Meanwhile the Secretary to the Government of Niger State, Hon. Ibrahim Isa Ladan has called on Christians in the state to always exhibit and propagate the ideals of love, humility, tolerance and selflessness for which Jesus Christ died on the cross of Calvary.
Hon. Isa Ladan enjoined the people of the State to imbibe the lessons of peace, love, and sacrifice for the development of Niger State and Nigeria at large, adding that Nigerians should use this period of Easter to pray for the unity of the country.
The SSG, urged Nigerians to be tolerant and love one another, especially in this trying period of our nation’s security challenges. He added that this is the only way the essence of the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will be appreciated and have meaning in the life of mankind.
