The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun investigating into the allegation of fraud by a sales clerk, Philomena Chieshe, who claimed a mysterious snake sneaked into the accounts office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Makurdi, the Benue state capital and swallowed N36m.
AFRIPOST recalls that the Head of Information of the examination body has claimed that Chieshe is currently going through disciplinary procedures while investigation is ongoing on the matter.
But the anti-graft agency in a Facebook post on Tuesday, said it was probing the matter and would keep Nigerians posted.
“The Eagle on the snake! We shall keep you posted,” it said.
