Leadership: Gov Ortom’s Aide Bags NEYILAND Award

The saying that leadership  be given to those who are mentally ,physically and psychologically fitted is no doubt a reflection of Ortom’s administration.

It is upon this background that the executive governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom find it worthy to entrusted young people with positions of authority. Comr. Austin Agada is the Senior Special Assistant to Benue State Government on Administration/Cabinet Office.

Hon. Agada, has proven quality of good leadership which endeared him many recognition and awards, among which is the Icon of Nation Building, Humanitarian Services & Community Development in Nigeria.

Recalls that over the weekend ,the Nigerian Elite Youths in Leadership & National Development (NEYILAND) gives award to deserving persons due to outstanding leadership quality which comrade Agada was one.

The event held over the weekend at Zaginas Suite, Makurdi Benue State.

In a statement by the Director-General of the organization Mr. Manasseh Ikyereve, said that Comr. Austin Agada’s award was on merit, “having gotten the highest votes,” he emerge winner of the 2017 edition.

Mr. Manasseh declared that Comr. Agada won the final round of the vote as a result of his efforts toward national building and humanitarian services, stressing that Agada’s respect for elders and his constant quest for the  emancipation of Nigerian youths from the clutches of oppression, poverty and exploitation has earned him the award.

In his acceptance speech,  Comr. Austin Agada thank the organisers of the event ,saying he is humbled by the singular honour done him to be given an award by a recognised body such as NEYILAND, which spans across Nigeria as a whole. He promised to remain committed to the course of youths in the state,  Nigeria in particular.

He further promised never to let the Nigerian youths down even as he hope to be a light to his generation at the end of the tunnel, pledged his constant support for the vulnerable in the society.

He dedicated the award to God, the society, his generations and family whom he said to bear with him despite his shortcomings; especially his wife and baby whom he left at home attending to State and national assignments every now and then.

Former Special Adviser to Benue State Government on Investment, Hon. Paul Damusa, an  Entrepreneur and business mogul, Mr. Morgan Okpe, Marketing Consultant, Mr. Hwande Viatlis, Director of Media & Publicity of APC Benue State, Comr. Apeh Peter and his team, Hon. Ameh Ochojila amongst others had graced the occasion.
