About three months after the Supreme Court sacked erstwhile member of the House of Representatives, Herman Hembe, Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, yesterday ,admitted member-elect, Mrs Dorathy Mato into the green chamber.
Mato who now represents Konshisha/Vandeikya federal constituency of Benue State was in June declared the valid candidate of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in the 2015 election.
The court ousted Hembe, an ardent supporter of Dogara in a judgement and ordered him (Hembe) to refund all entitlements received during his sojourn in the House from June 2015 to the date of the verdict.
Hembe again approached the apex court asking for a referral of the case back to a lower court for adjudication, an attempt that met a brick wall with consequences as the court not only reaffirmed its earlier verdict, but also fined Hembe the sum of N1million to be paid to Mato.
The court, however, queried the leadership of the House for not enforcing the judgement as earlier delivered with respect to the immediate inauguration of Dorathy Mato as a member of the House.
