Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West Senatorial district has, in an obvious dramatic way, escaped from being served notice of recall by INEC officials at the National Assembly on Tuesday.
Melaye abruptly rushed out of the senate session and went straight to his awaiting car at exactly 1:50pm in order to escape being served notice of recall by INEC officials.
The speed with which the embattled lawmaker came out of session attracted the crowd that had gathered to see the turn of events.
An official of INEC identified as Nura Mohammed was seen with an envelope trying to get his attention at a point he was entering his car, but failed to had him the document.
Effort to speak with the INEC officials did not yield results as they all maintained sealed lips.
