Atiku To Join PDP Soon – Ex-Reps Member, Baiko

A former member of the House of Representatives, Bala Baiko, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC)

Baiko also said that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will soon return to the PDP, claiming that plans had been concluded.

Atiku recently said he had been pushed to the corner by President Muhammadu Buhari-led government which he said he helped into power in 2015.

“Honestly speaking, I’m still a member of the APC; I was part of all the processes, including campaigns until success was achieved.

“But sadly, soon after the formation of government; I was sidelined. I have no any relationship with the government, I’ve not been contacted even once to comment on anything and in turn, I maintained my distance.

“They used our money and influence to get to where they’re but three years down the lane, this is where we are,” Atiku had said.

At the weekend, Baiko, who was elected to the House of Representatives in 2003 under the defunct All Peoples Party, told newsmen that All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) members in APC were being ignored.

Baiko said he and his followers were only remembered during elections.

“As everyone knows, party politics is all about making members feel he belongs by including them in active governance.

“But in our case, no one remembers us after we helped in bringing the government and what do you think we will be doing in this kind of party?” Premium Times quoted him as saying.

Baiko added that he and over 20,000 supporters across Kano were defecting to help the PDP win all the forthcoming elections in the state.

He said he was going back to the PDP to join old political allies, expressing confidence that it would be easy for him work with old friends,
