Boko Haram: 4 killed, many injured in fresh Borno attack

No fewer than four persons were confirmed killed while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries following Boko Haram attack at Amarwa villages along Maiduguri, Konduga road, DAILY POST reports.

Amb. Ahemed Shehu, of the Civil Liberties Organisation, who was in contact with the village head, disclosed this on Sunday, in a text message to journalists in Maiduguri.

According to Shehu, “Boko Haram burnt down to ashes another village unit of Wanori, AMARWA village yesterday at about 10.00pm, till 11.30pm as reported by those in the village.”

Amarwa village is less than 100 metres away from the military check point, along the Maiduguri-Konduga Road by the radio tower of the Borno Radio Television (BRTV).

“Four people have been confirmed killed in the incident and several others have been taken to the hospital this morning,” he added.

Security operatives are yet to issue a statement on the attack.
