Boko Haram insurgents have reporedly launched fresh attacks in Ghumbili community, in the Madagali local government area of Adamawa state.
Confirming the incident to DAILY POST, Adamawa State Emergency Management, Agency, ADSEMA, boss, Haruna Furo in a telephone chat said the attack started from about 10.23pm on Wednesday.
“Yes, indeed it happened.
“The attack started from about 10.23pm on Wednesday until about 3am on Thursday morning.”
Furo also insisted that no life was lost, but stated that the insurgenets burnt down several houses and looted belongings.
The attack comes a few days after a similar incident in a neighbouring village in the local government known as Mildu, where seven people were reportedly killed by the insurgents.
Villagers who escaped the attack are currently taking refuge at Gulak, the headquarters of the council.
Othman Abubakar, spokesman of the police command in Adamawa, also confirmed the attack.
