Despite last Sunday’s suicide bombings in Maiduguri which claimed 16 lives, residents yesterday trooped to the Sanda kyarimi Zoo and Amusement Park to have Sallah fun.
The recreation centre was filled to capacity as the fun seekers moved their way through all the facilities in the park.
A resident, Marian Audu who came to the park with her family said despite the insecurity in the state , she and her family chosed to be there for fun because, that is the only way to relieve the pains of the crisis bedeviling the state , adding that God that brought them there will take them back safely.
Another fun seeker, Abubakar Adomai attributed the unprecedented crowd at the zoo and amusement park to the confidence the people have on the Security provided in the area.
He, however, called on the state government to repair some of the non functional facilities in the park to give it a face lift , adding that the Condition of some of them is a mockery of the state before visitors.
