Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has claimed he will be resting some of his key players, for this Sunday’s Premier League clash against Arsenal.
Mourinho said this after their 1-0 win against Celta Vigo in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie on Thursday.
United played nine games in April and the Portuguese says it is important he keeps some of his players fresh.
“The players who have an accumulation of fatigue, the players that have had lots of minutes, because we played nine matches in April and this one, so 10 matches in four and a half weeks, those players are not going to play at the weekend,” Mourinho said.
Eric Bailly, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard all featured at least eight times for United in April and could be among those set to miss the Arsenal game.
